Australia's New Karaoke World Champion

The crown of KWC Australia went to Dina Bit-David, delivering a sizzling hot rendition of 'Rescue Me’ followed by the timeless classic, ‘I Will Always Love You’. Dina will travel to Finland in September to represent Australia at the Karaoke World Championships international finals. Her prize package includes a return trip to Finland, 5 nights accommodation with AU$2000.00 spending money, 12” powered speakers, a Sound Choice DVD Karaoke player, 2 microphones and discs from Capital Karaoke and 5 nights at Club Crocodile Airlie Beach.

The evening program of the 11 national finalists saw a glittery of talented and beautifully dressed divas grace the stage with only one thorn amongst the roses – yes, only one bloke in the mob folks. Dan Crossley, representing the ACT, shone through, taking second place with his clear and well presented evergreen, ‘Unchained Melody’ and a powerful Robbie Williams’ delivery of ‘Let Me Entertain You’. Third place went to the Shania Twain of the Northern Territory, Jodi-Lee Jessop with her 'strut yer stuff' antics in Shania’s, ‘I’m Outta Here’ and the Cranberries’ classic, ‘Zombie’.

Congratulations to all of this year's Australian Grand Finalists for their fantastic performances - Chrissie Hopkins - WA | Barbara Poynter - SA | Jessica Wood - Reg. NSW | Dina Bit-David - NSW | Jess Lawson - VIC | Kelly-Louise Warner - Reg. VIC | Dan Crossley - ACT | Jodi-Lee Jessop - NT | Kate McNichol - QLD | Zellah Wenitong - Nth QLD | Juliann Hargraves - TAS
